Descent Freespace got a new update
« on: May 22, 2003, 11:14:46 AM »
A new version of Descent Freespace is available from hyperion website, for 68k and PPC. It is still beta but it fixes some annoying bugs. Size is about 1.3Mb and available in download area (probably only for registered users)

Hard to say, but I wrote the streaming code from scratch and it's now very stable on AmigaOS. Give it a shot, but remember that AmigaOS is the only platform we support officially...

Most probably it's the MOS WarpUp emulation, but thanks for answering in such a reasonable way. :-)

Help

I have just purchased the game and cannot even get it to complete the install (It bombs just before it askes for the registration number).

True I'm attempting to install it onto Morphos 1.3 but it still would have been nice to have got it to install, even if it did not run properly.

I would love to get the upgrade but have NO IDEA how a purchasing customer actuall gets to register???

If you could give the URL to the customer registration site that would help. I have my "super secret registration number" which I can enter if you need to verify my bonafides...

Regards
Darren

Hmm...  Have you got installer installed? :P  If so, then you can try changing your default drawer icon.  I tend to simply copy the whole CD over to a temp partition, run ISPatcher (rexx file on MorphZone).  I think I had to run it on two seperate files (have to look when I get home.)

I can't seem to get the install to copy the movie files over, but I think that's not much of a big deal.

Now I just need to see if I can use the "hidden" command option to use FroggerNG as the video player. :P

I'm sorry, but like Jarmo said, we only support AmigaOS, no MorphOS or Amithlon/AmigaOS XL.

If the files are on the disk, you might want to start the registergui program with the main program as argument, it might work. If not, try to copy these two to an "real" Amiga and try to execute them there, then copy the executable back.
