Generic reset button
« on: June 27, 2007, 09:39:39 AM »
Hello to all.

Some ROM switcher (Multikickstart with KS1.3 and KS 3.1 for example) need a "long reset" of about 3 seconds to switch.
This can be done by pressing Ctrl-lA-rA during 3 seconds.
But it is impossible to do this with a USB keyboard or by software.

Is there a simple solution to do the same "long reset" with a simple push button and some wires
 :-)

M* Thanks

If your Amiga is an A500 you could try this. It may also be possible to use the same hack on other Amigas, but I would have no idea how.

For the a1200 you can solder in a header onto TP1 on the motherboard - I did this, but eventually my header broke off - too much messing around in the tower case

Alternatively you could give Amigakit your patronage and go for the Gayle adapter.
