Floppy drive not saving
« on: December 08, 2006, 10:18:44 AM »
Hi chaps,
I am the proud owner of an A1200 with an internal 2.5 inch hard drive,A Blizzard 1230iv accelerator with 16mb of ram,a Zip drive and external 3.5 inch hard drive courtesy of idefix97 and a surf squirrel cd rom. It has worked like a dream for a couple of years now but I have a problem.I can load from floppy - I can apparently save to floppy but when I remove the disk and then replace it in the drive it has not saved at all and reverts back to the state it was in before trying to save.If I rename it everything looks fine - the orange light is bright, the floppy can be heard in all its glory and the name change can be seen  on the workbench disk icon.Remove it from the drive, re-insert and guess what.Bugger all. This is driving me nuts. I never appreciated how handy the floppy drive is until now.
I have bought a new floppy drive and the same thing happens again. Please please help and a Merry Xmas!
Dave
