Because the government can't afford them, it seems.

okay, let me explain it once more:

if you ain't paying taxes, you blow up the whole social infrastructure and ppl will make new social infrastructures -also known as maffia (see for instance Russia)- This is being done with violence, violence and again violence.
Just read history and you'll see I'm right.

Unlike the Chimpster, who at least is consistent.

Said he'd create millions of jobs - nope. 3 million lost is it?
Said he'd 'leave no child behind' - nope. He cut educational funding.
Said he'd fight terrorism - nope. Invaded a country where there was none and proceeded to creat lots - good goin' smirk.

What else? WMDs? Medicare? Healthy Forests? Clear Skies? Iraqi Democracy?

Whatever he says he does the opposite, so I guess you at least know where you stand.

Monkey boy will get voted in again because you people either don't care that his lies led to tens of thousands of needless deaths, including nearly six hundred US soldiers so far, or because you really still can't see that this is the case. Either way, it's a shame.

Here is the new question.
How did he vote on the assassination plot against the 7 Senators while at the VVAW summer of 71 meeting in Kansas City?

At first he said he had resigned before the meeting took place. Then somebody produced documents that he did not resign from the VVAW's national steering committee until November 1971.

Then he said he wasn't there, then somebody produced pictures taken by the FBI.

Now he says he can't remember the meeting but was probably there. But people from the meeting say he was there, and made an announcement that he was going to resign from the organization so he could run for congress.

And now the New York Sun and the LA Times are saying Kerry is trying to hire some of the people that have spoken out about the meeting.

This is what gets me. Every day I read about a "US Soldier killed in Iraq, two others wounded", etc. Since the war began, on average about 12 soldiers have died a week. Does it not bother them that their fellow countrymen are dyeing for nothing? I can understand not caring about the Iraqis, but they seem to not care about their own! They seem to have a high tolerance for death and destruction.

Somehow I don't think I would forget a meeting where the killing of US Senators was being discussed. But that's just me.

Perhaps you wouldn't, but then you're not Kerry. He's been in tons of meetings, and he's experienced things more dramatic then that. It may have been a highlight in your life, but perhaps not in Kerry's.
