Default Banners moved to the top to make adjustments to page layout
As you might have noticed, the banner display has been moved to the top. This is specifically to fix "issues" (not really bugs, more like complaints) with different parts of the site's layout. Specifically, it lets us get rid of the right column on the forum and other pages where the editor would normally push the page width out beyond 800 pixels wide.

I like it i find it grabs your atention more when its at the top of the page and is the best place for the ad. :-)

Looks good, always nice to have more screen real estate :-)

If I may make a suggestion, though:

If all the banners are the same size, how about making a subtle border or something around them to integrate them into the AO header?

I think the page is shaping up real good. Still would like to see that space (under the red/orange pointer) on the left disapear tough. And as Blomberg said, a border for the ads would be nice. (The Elbox banner looks good thanks to its border)

Good move.

The site design is really shaping up now. pity that people complained at the initial stages. These things take time.

Whilst the old site design was nice I think the current one is better.

On another note, is it just me or has the amount of flamewars also decreased?

A good sign. :-)

Yep, that's a good place for them. I am sure it will come in due course, but as Blomberg said, it would be cool if it was more integrated with the main banner.

It's quite exciting spotting all the little improvements being made!
