Apparently not any more, which is a good thing.
Even when things weren't well between the two companies, Aaron was still doing things for the community.
He sent me a cpu cooler for one of the MorphOS developers X5000 systems.
And he was still selling accessories and software to our community.

Glad to hear they worked things out, since it gives me a US distributor to buy Aeon products from.

I would have told ATOl to go fook themselves after that very public hissy fit.   But I guess that's why  I am not in business :)

Yes...that sounds like a Welshman's solution. :lol:

But it wouldn't have benefited us in the US, so I'm glad Trevor is more mature (than both of us).

@JJ

While we are in agreement that AOTL's statement was less than professional, I disagree with you way of communicating.

For a liberal non-binary enabler who gets upset when people unsettle your safe space dependent 'progressive' world view, you really have no sense regarding insulting people with your horrendous language! It is not acceptable to use that language especially regarding one of the last Amiga vendors! You're giving Wales a bad name! A little smiley doesn't make up for severe lack of common sense and web etiquette.

@ JJ

I wouldn't go that far but ya that was a childish thing to do  to say the least but hey at least things seem to be ok for now anyhow  & I hope they can fulfill the role Software Hut (US)/ Comspec  (Canada)  had for many of us over the years

I'll be keeping an eye on them, this is good news for us in the USA.  However the "hissy fit" as someone else called it, is not a great way to get people to trust you with expensive hardware. I wouldn't want to buy a system worth a few grand, only for it to flake out under warranty and then discover that they've decided they don't like their supplier again.

Odd argument, a bit judgmental.
I would expect anyone who sold me something to back it up, regardless of their relationship with their supplier.
And "hissy fit"? That's the second time that immature phrase has been thrown around.
Since no one is really aware of what caused the original fall out, we can loop back to the first sentence in this post.

This is the land of amiga, where drama rules and people selling stuff vanish without a trace, sometimes with other people's money. We've already had a situation where this specific dealer has announced they no longer want to do business with a specific supplier, who happens to sell very expensive things that can (as all manufactured goods) have defects. What happens if I spend a couple thousand dollars, the device is defective and whatever happened before between these two businesses happens again?  Past history of amiga businesses shows that it could be years before I get the device replaced or refunded.  As I said, I'm carefully optimistic and I will be keeping an eye on AOTL - I'd much rather buy from a local dealer.
