Will Vampire A500 Work In A CDTV?
« on: May 21, 2017, 12:54:55 PM »
Hello All,

I haven't been on this or any Amiga forums and haven't been in Amiga Scene for a few years now!

I have seen a demo of the new Vampire A500 at my local club and I've got the Amiga bug again!

Problem is I have got rid of my toy (don't get offend) Amiga system's (including A2000's) that were just taking lots of room! Just kept my big box Amiga's!

But I keep my CDTV, as I have always like the look of them!

I would like to know if it work in a stock CDTV?

As It would be cool to take to my local club! As it's very different!

I would love to hear your comments!

Thanks in advance,
Merv Stent

Although it isn't listed on his website, Kipper2K can supply a CDTV CPU riser card.

Omolungo over at EAB posted photo of the Vampire 500 fitted in the CDTV and said you can close the lid with it fitted.

I read through the CDTV related posts in the thread and it seem that you lose use of the CD drive at the moment.  To fully support the CDTV with need a re-write of the core.  Majsta posted back in December that it would be easy to do and he has been offered a CDTV for that purpose but didn't have the time to do at the time.
