Last August I brought an Amiga 1080 monitor to Ray Carlsen for repair. In the past Ray has repaired many monitors for me and my clubs - 1701's, 1702's, 1084's, 1902's, Magnavox RGB/80's, a Sony GVM-1311Q, and even the monitor in a Commodore Educator.
However, we have run into a roadblock into getting the Amiga 1080 repaired. Here is what Ray said --
"The [Amiga] 1080 monitor has a "no video" problem and I don't think I can do anything without a schematic. I've searched the Net without any luck. Even the places that sell schematics come up empty. Do you know anyone that may have a Commodore service manual? The monitor was made by Toshiba. Although from the outside it looks like other Commodore monitors, it's very different inside and much too complex to troubleshoot without a circuit diagram. I tried."
So there you have it. If anyone can help us out with obtaining a 1080 schematic, let us know.
Sincerely,
Robert Bernardo
