A1200 - Adding CF card touching accelerator card?
« on: November 28, 2014, 07:19:38 PM »
Hi,

I am adding a CF card to my Amiga 1200 with flexible cable - see picture  : https://amigahardware.shutterfly.com/

Any suggestions on keeping the CF card from touching the video accelerator card? Cardboard insert?

(I tried using a rigid  card holder , but it is blocked by the accelerator card)

Thanks, Peter

velcro pads are hook and loop fastening system, you would stick one pad on the computer and other on the cf
adapter then push them together.
its called something else in your country i suspect:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velcro

going to the picture link you give seems to require me to sign up to go any further,so no still cant see pix.

FYI you can attach pictures directly to your forum posts here, just scroll down when posting to where it says "Attach files" and has a button for "Manage attachments".  Much better way of attaching pictures than using some kind of external site.  ;)

when I click 'insert image' , it asks for the url of the image, instead of  a file upload . What am I missing?

I know what velco is. my country is usa. I just don't understand how to use it to separate the cf card from the video accelerator.

I like cardboard; it is cheap, easy to cut and non-conductive.

Be carefully of what you use to isolate the offending device, using the wrong material in the wrong area can be a danger, ie is the material easy to ignite if something go's wrong.
