Does the same for me too, but if you dont clean out your web files it will keep the info. I use a Mac and it saves all my info, the Amiga never did and I have to log in all the time using Ibrowse 2.3

The current login tedium started with the Aorg upgrade today, or was it yesterday(?)
Anyway, when I used to get this problem, I was told to use the www.amiga.org address. This fixed it and I could run several days without login. Now, it's back to square one. Thus far, I find the upgrade well, reterograde. Hope it gets better as things get sorted, but atm, it's a drag. Cheers, JaX [Ed: Oh, I notice the links have disappeared from the signature field. Mmmm...]

I noticed uner the "Edit Account" section, there is a selection called 'Store my name as a cookie for one year' or something close to that. I selected it, and have not since had to re-login

Jax,
I apologize for this. It's probably just a new setting that isn't quite correct yet, but make sure that you're 1) using www.amiga.org 2) Your browser is set to accept cookies 3) Your browser properly uses sessions (some older Amiga browsers don't). We're looking into it and hope to have it fixed soon. Apparently one of our admins (or even me possibly)accidentally temporarily deleted the System Admin functions of our admin site, so we've got to get that resolved soon. For all we know, it may be related. Wayne |

You mean you can't loggin or don't you have the admin link in your menu ? www.amiga.org/admin.php should work for administrators.

@all
The cookie setting ('save for a year' in Profile editor) seems to have fixed the problem, tho' I hadn't got this set under the previous regime. We're gettin' there.. Cheers, JaX

I've also had to relog in - and with Opera there is a "wand" that remembers log-in info like this. there seems to be something different about the domain or server. or something (?) |

Jax,
As I understand it, if you don't click on "save for a year" (or whatever) in your user account, the site uses sessions only. It seems to be ignoring the custom settings I'm using however which tell it to keep the session alive for 1440 minutes (one day). I don't know why yet, but in the mean time, electing to save the cookie from inside your account will resolve it for most people. The exception of course, being those who refuse to upgrade their browsers. Nothing I can do for those people, but I do get a bit weary of answering the same question repeatedly. :-) Wayne |

This site now uses the Xoops AutoLogin code to remember your login between sessions. The current config stores your credentials for 1 week. To utilize this new feature check "Remember Me" while logging in.
