Plonker? Angry little fellow, aren't we. You let me know when the Appstore starts allowing emulators, and we'll be getting somewhere as a whole. Jailbreak required or not, the vast majority of i device users simply use the Appstore for apps.
You want to side load apps and use old OS versions or date tricks, knock yourself out. Any program that isn't offered by "official" appstores is losing out on a vast part of the market, like it or not. Most people don't want to deal with anything other than offical appstores, and the App Store is notorious for being hard assed about allowing emulators. That won't change anytime soon, unfortunately.
GBA4iOS was removed from the App Store last year and to install it you need to trust untrusted sources, among other things some people wouldn't be comfortable with, the same way people ren't comfortable with having to root or jailbreak devices to get any particular app. Blame the various appstores on that, I suppose. If that's good by you, Godspeed, and have fun with it and any other sideloaded app. Many people aren't comfortable with such things. I don't have time to fiddle around sideloading apps, turning system dates back to get stuff to run, etc. That being said, GBA4iOS is a terrific bit of code and well worth trying. Give it a whirl if you're into GBA stuff. But I digress, bit off topic here.
