News from the WSJ.

It’s game over for a hefty collection of old-school computer and arcade games in Denmark, or is it?

The Danish Spilmuseet, or “The Games Museum”, is seeking a new home for approximately 10,000 console and computer games, 4,000 arcade games and 1,400 arcade machines. “I’m pretty sure our arcade collection is the world’s largest,” museum boss Rune Keller said.

Among the museum’s arcade rarities is a functioning 1981 “Space Fortress” machine and a European edition of Nintendo’s “Sheriff” from 1979 – the first game with art by “Mario” and “Zelda” creator Shigeru Miyamoto. Also part of the collection are Commodore Amiga consoles and games, as well as their Atari counterparts and old classics like Pong.

If they put them on the open market someone would buy them.  shame to see them sit there and not being used.  There must be a collector out there who would buy them for a museum.

Not trying to be pedantic, but just as it wouldn't make sense to say 'Apple Macintosh consoles' in a collection containing not just the Apple Pippin, the phrase 'Commodore Amiga consoles' is out of place since they probably have a bit more than just CD32s.
2x A1000, 2x A2000, 1x A3000, 4x A1200, 3x A500, 1x CDTV, 1x CD32, 2x Pegasos II, 1x EFIKA
