Battle Squadron was originally developed by Cope-Com for the Commodore Amiga Home Computer in 1989 and received numerous awards making it an instant Amiga Classic. In 2011 Come-Com released Battle Squadron for iOS mobile devices, and in 2012 for Android with our partner Goldencode.
We are now happy to announce that together with our partner Goldencode we are returning to the Amiga… making Battle Squadron available on Amiga OS 4.X, in addition to Mac and PC. Battle Squadron is available through both digital download and a pre-order special collectors edition with the signature from the original developers and the coder making it possible to return to Amiga OS 4.X.
The collectors edition contains all desktop versions: Amiga OS 4.X, Mac, and PC. The new desktop version is an exact replica of the original famed Amiga game, just as it was for iOS and Android. In addition, the desktop version has great new features… still matching the original retro style.

Thanks, really appreciated. This is the sort of stuff that keeps us .. digging into it :)

We really worked hard to get everything just right. As they say talk is cheap... action is what counts.

Big thanks to Daniel (Convert coder) who has managed to have many balls in the air at the same time, while being on a skateboard (lol), with a multi platform release.

We have also put a lot of care into our special collectors edition, which of course would make an excellent christmas present for all retro gamers.

If you have not had a chance to check out the free demo download for AmigaOS 4.X, Mac OS X or PC, then head over here on our new games portal >>

@nicholas:
Good news! It's been ported to Amiga 68k! Even available as a boxed version: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-Battle-Squadron-The-Destruction-Of-The-Barrax-/130464686044

Pretty cool that it's been ported to OS4 as well, though.

Also check out the free playable demo version.

There's no demo version there at http://www.sealofaction.com, only "shopping basket" links for paying 12.50 euros.

Oh well, I will go find the full version instead on Pirate Bay...

The demos can be downloaded by clicking on one of the three OS4, MacOS and Windows logos, on the right side of the Cope-Com logo.

Thanks you guys for all of your support. It is GREAT with your support and to be one of the very few who actually comes through on the promise to hit the AmigaOS 4.X at some point..... And now we DID. :banana:

Also worth remembering, by supporting us know you also at the same time support further development, like the other shooter gem Hybris etc.

We got more stuff cooking and we need all the help we can get.

Added text to the demo download icon :biglaugh:

Thanks Varthall, it seems you have to turn image loading on for these to appear. Suggestion to webmaster: why not make all the links accessible for bandwith-impaired users (as is done on my own site)? There is not even any hint anywhere that there are extra links for graphics-enabled users...
