SCSI card reader on SupraDrive XP500?
« on: February 04, 2013, 02:30:00 PM »
Has anyone tested a SCSI card reader like this:

SCM PCD-50B SCSI Card Reader
http://a4000t.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=180

On an SupraDrive XP500 sidecar SCSI controller for the A500?

I'm thinking about getting one if it works with that controller.  Hope it fits in the case (with mods to let the cards be inserted).

I haven't specifically tested that one, but. I do use a scsi to ide bridge with a 2gb conpactflash on my 500xp. Works just like a hard drive - no issues.

Thanks for the info.  Would you happen to know the make/model of the adapter you use?  Do you remember the price?  Thanks.

Once again, not a Supra product, but I use one with my GVP A500 +8, and it works great.  I just had to make sure that the autoboot rom was a late enough version to support removable media.

I don't have any of the pcd-50b's in stock,i do however have some of the pcd-60b 6 slot models. worst case yo won't be able to use all slots and just a pcmcia slot with cf adapter(included!). If the supra supports LUNS in theory all slots should work. They can be found here:

If you would rather have the scsi bridge,i stock some acard 7720U scsi to ide bridges here:
