Depends on how you want to write the floppy.
You can write from PC IF you have a catweasle floppy controller and these are hard to find nowdays.

You can download on pc and transfer with a null modem cable to Amiga and let the Amiga write to floppy (Amiga Forever is free and can do this).

You can download to PC and put on a CF card then use a CF to PCMCIA adapter on Amiga 600 then use TSGui to write ADF to floppy on the Amiga.

Or hook your Amiga up to the internet and download directly on Amiga or over the network from PC or use FTP or HTFS.

From all these methods I would suggest using a A600 since it has PCMCIA and use the adapter available both from amigakit and Vesalia easiest and cheapest but won't work on the A500 since it doesn't have pcmcia.
Here is a link for the CF adapter:

http://www.vesalia.de/e_amigapcmciacf[7126].htm

Edit: For C64 you have to ask someone else since I don't use them anymore, I emulate C64 now days since I got no space for both Amigas and C=64's.

I misunderstood your initial question.

But yes on the amiga part. On aminet you can find a program called adfblitzer http://aminet.net/search?query=adfblitz
with that little gem, you can easily write downloaded adf files to a floppy.
I don't know about C=64 though.

Tho it's good to know that you need workbench 2.x for adfblitz and also TSGui can handle HDF great for making backups and also rewrite your entire hard drive instead of copying with dopus.

So just a quick warning for S0nic that he needs WB2.x for it, TSGui works on all WBs.
Both are good programs tho but I have had less errors with TSGui.

No no no, you got it wrong.
ADFBlitz is an excellent program but it requires a newer version of kickstart and Workbench then a stock A500.

TSGui will run on all Amigas and I have had less checksum errors while writing to floppy when using TSGui then ADFBlitz, tho it can just be a coincidence but for me it has been like that.

TSGui can also do images of hard drives and can also write hard drive images back to the drive. But ADFBlitz can only write and read floppy images (ADF). HDF (hard drive images) is a good way to save and backup your hard drive and TSGui makes it easy to restore (if you don't want to go the Dopus route).

So quick sum of all, both ADFBlitz and TSGui work great to write ADF files to floppy but ADFBlitz requires kickstart 2.x and WB2.x

As I think for ease of use you should get an A600 and then both will work anyways but I recommend TSGui from my own personal preferences.

No problem, just thought it was worth pointing out
