Yesterday I got a 1084S-D monitor and I finally could test the AMIGA 600 that I scored on ebay. It all works!! all the games that came with also work! I was really surprised that everything works really

I saw some nice videos on youtube that people are using OS 3.1 on AMIGA 600. I feel my mission is to install 3.1 as well! Simply it looks great.

The 600 I have is barefooted, I mean its vanilla....or how should I put it...it has no extra stuff in it.

So as I am a total noob in this case, would you please tell me what would I need to install 3.1?

I was thinking of these things should be necessery

• Kickstart 3.1
• CF hard disk

I checked amigakit and vesalia but they don't ship amiga os 3.1 disks...you think its possible to download it online? I heard that you can prepare your CF hard disk using winUAE.

Also, would I need either or both ACA620 and/or A604 ram expansion? Can I get 3.1 running without any extra cpu upgrade or ram?

Please help! I am really into this!

3.1 floppys and cf card is the easiest way.

I don't know where you'd get a 3.1 install on floppy anymore. You can buy a cf card already with amigaos installed on it (and tons of software) on ebay.

I am sure you will figure it out. If you where able to reach here you should be able to resolve your issue through internet. However, do not expect Amiga products on real life retail store...so regardless you still need to solve your issue online either legally or piracy.

I know my Amiga 1200 workbench ARE ALL LEGAL AND LEGID as it came with my A1200. So it is easy for me to use .ADF online to preserve my disks from breaking faster.

Hey, vesalia has 3.1 kickstart roms for the A600 for 17€ http://www.vesalia.de/e_kickstart.htm.
I think you could soft kick to 3.0 kickstart to install WB3.x with skick but then you need more memory, but imho not worth the hassle when 3.x roms are cheep.

A SRAM card 2 or 4MB do a lot on the A600 and mine could play quite a lot of whdload games with a SRAM card, removing preload made quite a few multi-floppy games work also.

But I had no use of WB3.1 on my 600 so I used classicWB GAAE and I loved it.

Do you have any reason/need to use WB3.1 over 2.x?

What do you intend to use the A600 for?
