Anyone know the best way to hook this up for the best picture? I am waiting on my 23 to 9 pin cable, and am on the lookout for a 1080 to use it with, but in the mean time, would like to use this monitor if possible. Thanks!

Yep, as a composite monitor.
the Amiga 1000 has color composite output, so you can just use that... Also, the 1802, I believe, has chroma/luma input. So, you could get an Amiga s-video adapter (kipper and/or amigamaniac make them still I believe). Then you'd just need an s-video to chroma/luma cable (they aren't too hard to make, but are trickier to find pre-made). s-video isn't RGB, but it's REALLY DARN GOOD.. ;-) desiv

You can use the composite to s-video, but I wouldn't spend a lot on that. The 1080 will serve you better.
But, since the A1000 has color to its composite, you could live with that for a while. Good luck... |

Thanks Desiv! I'm assuming that would be the yellow cable input on the back correct? Does the Amiga have a built in speaker or does it need plug ins? Thanks again!

No built in speaker, so you'll need to use some RCA cables from your Amiga 1000's audio OUT jacks to the monitor. (The 1802 probably only has 1 RCA audio input, so you get to choose left of right or you can use an RCA Y cable to merge them into one.) desiv
