World of Commodore 2012
« on: November 20, 2012, 03:47:49 AM »
On Saturday December 1, the Toronto PET Users Group will host its 9th annual World of Commodore  EXPO, this being the 2012 edition. The TPUG version of the show began in 2004 to mark TPUG's 25th anniversary.

In the eighties, the first weekend of December was looked forward to with great anticipation by Commodore fans. This was the time when Commodore Business Machines presented the original World of Commodore show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada*.

Although the TPUG show does not claim to be the equivalent of  the original show (we don't have 30,000 attendees!), it does try to carry on the Commodore tradition of providing a friendly atmosphere in which fans can get together, view various hardware/software items on display/sale and partake in technical presentations and discussions.

For full information check out    http://www.worldofcommodore.ca

And while there, be sure to access the Youtube videos of previous years as shown under "Demonstrations".

You can see the TPUG website at   http://www.tpug.ca

Haven't sent him an invitation but he is welcome to come and meet some real Commodore/Amiga fans.

For some reason I thought it had already happened.  I distinctly remember seeing something a while ago and thinking 'why are they doing it so early?' but I must have misunderstood.

I haven't gone since 2008, but if I can find a ride, I'll be there.
