Default Help with my amiga 1200 with cf

Hello everyone! I have looked all over the net without luck, so if anyone wants to save a broken amiga-heart this is your chance!

I have an amiga 1200 with Blizzard 1230/III with 64meg 2 X32 sims on board
and 68882 FPU...

I have a Sandisk 4 gb cf card with all the necessary equipment to apply this as my main hd. The last days i have been following all the guides available on the net to install Workbench Classic on my CF-card from my pc with winuae... When i have done what it says in the tutorial i try to startup the cf on winuae and everything seems ok until i connect the cf to my amiga where i get this message;

also i get another software failure message at startup...

Here is my system info

after some boot-ups i all of a sudden get into workbench classic window, but it doesnt seem allright at all...

What can be wrong??? I beg you to help me solve my problem and fulfill my dream Thank you

Well, in 26 years of Amiga use I've never used windows to do an install, so bare with me; can you get a boot menu (hold down both mouse buttons)? If so, can you boot without startup-sequence? If so, have you typed into the CLI console command by command until you get a failure? Usually it is a device that fails mounting or a bad monitor file or some dodgy patch. But you havent given out enough information to help

im sorry, im quite n00b at amiga, but i can get to the boot-menu. but i am really not a fan of using windows to install it either. do you have any idea how to install workbench classic or to get whdloader without installing it via PC?
thanks

Using the PC to setup your CF using WinUAE is cool, it's the easiest way to do it in fact.

1) Use Winuae to create a new setup (eg choose an empty folder on your PC) and call the boot partition 'System', make sure your config in WinUAE matches your real Amiga and make sure you use the correct ROM.
2) Only after you are happy that your WinUAE System is correctly working under WinUAE do you actually start playing with the CF
3) Mount your CF to WinUAE (make use it is writable)
4) Setup your CF (eg partition it and load SFS/PFS3) using your new WinUAE setup's HD Toolbox)
5) Name the boot partition on the CF 'System2' and then copy your working the contents of your system directory over to it in WinUAE (eg use Dopus)
6) Rename your CF's System2 partition to System and then setup a new WinUAE Config that uses your CF as the only HD (obviously set it to boot your CF card's new System partition)
7) Make sure your CF works as expected in WinUAE
8) Wack it the Miggy and go and play some games (eg ScummVM AGA or BOOM).

Check your CF setup in HD Toolbox because that sounds like it could be your problem, this thread will help you.

For a straight Amiga install, I start with the five OS 3.1 floppy disks booting from the "Install" disk and follow the on screen instructions; from 3.1 you can get a CD ROM working and install OS 3.9 from the CD. There are other ways via the web (AmigaSYS, for example) to get there where you can download stuff, but even without WinUAE you can transfer from a PC to an Amiga (via your CF). I keep a complete install on a CF partition of OS 3.1, 3.5, 3.9, and 4.1 just in case. I WHDLoad after booting into a clean 3.1 partition.

I did the same thing with my Amiga 1200 this weekend, except without the PC. I had crashes like yours until I changed the maxtransfer setting on the CF card. Once I did that, it worked flawlessly. YMMV.
