Default Commodore

Hi guys do you have Commodore 64 or 128? or do you stick with Amiga. I like the amiga best i will admit, but my first computer was a commodore 64 my dad bought to me back in 1992, so i have many founds memories with it :-) I think the 64 has super sound and music, if you take Nintendo Nes and Sega Master System from the same era, its more like bib and bobs, but the 64 sure can delivery in that department.. and some of the later games were just stunning to look at when you think of the hardware it was running on.

I have a flat 128 with JiffyDOS, 64KB VDC RAM, and a 512KB REU, though really I mostly use it as a 64. There's just no substite for the SID sound, there isn't...

I still use my 128D, 64C, and SX-64, as well as my Amigas. As well as my TI-99/4As and Atari 800XL.

I also i have a 128 and also a 128D but there are not many games for 128 so i also use it in 64 mode. SID sound is the best

I've got a bunch of them. The ones I have set up are a C128D and a C64C with a Chameleon64 cartridge.

You have to get an 8bit fix every so often.

I have three or four C64s of my own, and about 10 in the office (in various conditions, and usually missing the #?£!^£$ PLA which keeps blowing up).

My SAM 440ep has a Catweasel in it which has two SID chips in it, for awesome Stereo SID goodness under VICE.

My first computer was a C128. Of course as a kid I was using it mostly for C64 gaming. Then the C128 got sold and replaced by an A500+. Sometimes I think about buying one for the sake of nostalgia.. but it probably wouldn't get much use, just like I hardly even find any time to play with my Amiga(s) anymore :-/

Got a couple of 64's. Breadbox and 64c.
Always on the lookout for a 128D. I used to have one back in the 80's but sold it for $450 in 89.

It is a FPGA cartrige that either works in standalone mode or takes over your C64/C64C (doesn't work on a C128) and puts it on steroids.

Some features:

VGA output
Loads *.CRT images (and has several built in such as Action Replay)
Floppy emulator so you can load D64 disk images or write them back to real floppy disks
Tape emulator so you can load T64 images
Turbo mode and extra RAM for using software such as GEOS
Ability to load and run other cores such as Amiga and Spectrum.

I've been wanting to get one for a while, but I don't really have the space to set it up.

I have a 128 + 1541 ultimate 2 + monitor plugged in and ready to go, I have some Amiga stuff out at the moment but until recently it's been packed away. Most of my 8 bit stuff is packed away too, I'm downsizing the collection as well as there is no point in me holding on to stuff I'm not using.

Unfortunately some of it needs servicing/repairing before I can share it with people who would appreciate it.
