So, my A2000 has an a2091 w/2mb of memory, an a2630 w/2mb, and a Supra 2000 with 6mb. I just acquired an a2058 with 8mb of memory. So I think that 9 mb is the most the 2000 supports, but I am not sure. If I take the Supra 2000 out, and put the 2058 in, with the 8 mb, how much memory will that give me. I am thinking 9 mb total, since that is what Im thinking it shows now, even though it has 10mb. I have 1mb of chip ram. So, will I be any better off with the 2058 than I am now?

Far as I know, without an expansion card for a full 32 bit processor, an Amiga won't recognize more than 8 megabyte of expansion memory.

The Supra 2000 and A2058 are almost the same cards, so there should not be any difference.
But lets look at you RAM configuration:
1. A2091 with 2MB RAM, SCSI controller, you brobably need that RAM for SCSI
2. A2630 with 2MB RAM with 030 CPU, need that RAM also, w/o you probably loose some performance, and I'm not sure if you can disable it.
3. Supra 2000 with 6MB RAM, because you have 2MB + 2MB + 6MB, thats 10MB RAM, I'm pretty sure that 2MB is not allocated and it justs sits idle. You could just set the jumper to 4MB. BTW, I have exact RAM configuration as yours.

If you change the Supra for A2058 and remove the A2091, you will need to have 6MB on it, but the A2058 does not support 6MB configuration, so you are stuck.

The 9Mb is 1MB Chip RAM and 8MB Fast RAM. In OS 1.3 shows total RAM installed, in OS 2.X and 3.X the RAM is divided so you can see in workbench.

I also have a amiga 2000 with 030 cpu. i belive that when its was a 030 cpu it could take more than 9 mb ram in total? or am i mistaken :-)

Only if the accelerator has a place for RAM with the A2630 + DKB 2632 allowing up to 112MB of RAM; the most RAM an A2000 can have

Accelerator RAM needs to be 'expanded' RAM beyond the 16 MB barrier (that the 68000's 24 bit address bus can address). Otherwise it counts against the 8 MB limit as well.

If you want/need more RAM, your only real option is get a different accelerator card. The DKB RAM card for the 2630 is so rare I doubt you will ever find one.
All of the GVP '030 (except the cheapest) will allow using 16Mb as extended memory. '040 and '060 cards raise the limits quite a bit.
