Pretty cool! Did you use your SAM to make that?

Hey, how are those custom OS4 themes you claimed you were making a while back? I bet the people who donated the money to buy your SAM would like an update - you know, just so they don't feel like they got ripped off or something.

It is in the works. It took me long time to make SAM work and also set up OS4.1.
I wish I can do similar stuff on Amiga [ArtEffect is damn slow on larger images and I don`t know using Gimp in Emulator]... Still has some stuff to fix [my clock does not work well and I am learning how to reskin MUI with ease. OS4.1 is nice but needs lots of improvements.

@djnick

Just a question — why do you call it "HD" when it's a matter of still images and not video? "HD" and "Full HD" are relevant terms in video contexts, not still images, and when it comes to modern desktop monitor resolutions, 1920x1080 isn't really that "high" even...

Well djnick, the update has been out for more than a decade. It is called MorphOS. It will solve your problems and do everything you asks for in that thread, and a lot more!

MorphOS is Amiga done right!

Sure, "widescreen" is a more correct term, but since HD displays are generally (always?) widescreen resolution, it's pretty easy to understand what that means.

Since when is your monitor not a video display system?

There's a developer out there you might want to team up with named Belxjander. With you working on themes and him working on the code, who knows what you might not accomplish!

Worse than that is all those iOS developers calling the iPad versions of their applications "HD" when...

A. They are running at 1024x768 when the minimum horizontal resolution required for HD is 1280 pixels.

B. They are in a 80's style 4:3 aspect ratio when HD is 16:9 by definition.

Nor is blaming tools, documentation and other people for one's own inability to achieve something:

I hate to think the worst, but a review of the changesets in that repository reveal a lot of indecision about naming things, creation of empty functions and no real implementation work. Even the startup code just opens a few libraries then closes them again immediately. Yet most of the changes are annotated in a manner that makes them sound like lots of progress is being made. All of which stops just after the first hurdle, when it is discovered that gcc's asm() syntax is a bit tricky. Even then, a lot of the functions that he's using it for would be no less efficient in vanilla C; a function to write a byte to an address is not going to benefit from assembler optimisation (unless it is called from some other assembler routine where registers are mapped in a custom manner).

Begging everyone for money to buy an os4 machine and not delivering? Yeah that sounds pretty amiga like to me.

Kinda like pre-orders. hahaha

Maybe you should give everyone their money back?
