Amiga Marketplace This forum is here so that members can alert other members to Amiga items they've seen on eBay (or other auctions). If you are selling Amiga items on eBay, you might let us know about them here. Likewise, if you're selling Amiga items sans eBay, this is the "for sale" forum.

Hmm... a Zorro III only SCSI card for Amiga computers with built in SCSI (A3000) or IDE (A4000).

Since no one has replied yet, I'll take a stab at a value: $0-$10? The guy that would throw $10 at it, maybe just likes to tinker? Just happens to already own a ton of SCSI devices or likes to collect all things Amiga related?

If this were a Zorro III RAM Card, then you'd have something. SCSI - not so much - IMO.

My best guess is $50-$75

They are bought by Amiga 4000 users who want an alternative to IDE.
They have quirks, so are tend to be bought only by 4000 users who know what they are doing.

But they are faaaast! They are Zorro III busmasters though, so be careful when combining them with a Deneb.

Realisticly I would say around a $ 100 mark. That's about what I paid for mine.

I think $100 for an A4091 is crazy. You could buy a whole A4000 for that on a good day. If price is no object, maybe.

The A2091 is an equivalent card for the A2000 and you can barely give these away (they are not useless, just not special - and they too have their quirks).

I'll give you US$5 for it. Soemtimes it's hard to guess as you say it's been a while since they are not often seen for sale. Best to decide what minimum you are willing to sell it for, set that as minimum/reserve price in an auction and let everyone figure out how much they are willing to pay. Let us know where it ends up posted for sale/auction so we can all watch too.

A $100 for a 4000, if this was the case I'll have one :-)

2091 cards are bring $30 to $50 now on ebay and ebid. Depends on how bad you want/need one I guess. 2091 can work in an A4000 but add a new meaning to slow.
I don't guess it make any difference if it's a Commodore or DKB card - I think they are the same. The last 4091 I saw sell went for $25.00 with a cable.
I just happen to have two cables (remember they are HD50 ports) 1 for 25 pin & 1 for 50 pin centronics.

Wow...maybe that's the asking price, but does anyone actually pay that much for A2091 cards?

Things really have gotten crazy - these are useful but not great cards.

I guess I still have my head stuck in the 1990s when I could pick up an A500 for $10 at the thrift store, an A2000 for $25 to $50 and an A4000 for $60 to $80.

Oh - and a VIC-20 for $2.99 - I remember the first time I ever visited my local thrift store there were six VIC-20s all priced at that amount.

This is a really crazy times. 2091 cards (with revision 7 ROMs) are selling for that. If more 2091's hit the market, I am sure the price will drop.
I recently got an 2000HD for free (in great shape but for the hard drive) but then I paid WAY over your quote for an A2000 w/GVP '030.

Its quite funny when I see all the guys with their silly prices. An a400 for $100? Try $500. The A4091 is worth $75+

Well, I think $500 for an A4000 is a little crazy, even if that is the going price. I don't equate ebay prices with rational, real world flea market, garage sale or classified advert prices either. Ebay is always inflated. If price is no object to a person, then go shopping for Amiga stuff on eBay.

Even so, I wonder how many people REALLY pay the full asking price on ebay (i.e. how many of those auctions actually close at $500).
I sold an A3000 on ebay last year with all the latest chips and full ZIP RAM, and 040 and it didn't go for that much (I think it sold for between $200 and $300).

Deals can be had but citing you can pick up a 4000 for $60 in a local thrift store isn't realistic since no one else can probably duplicate this.Typical 4000's have gone from $200-500 in the last years and this depends on what they have in them. There are no hard and fast rules and market demand plays a role.
i think a 4091 is worth somewhere around $50-$75. Although scsi on the accelerator is alwaqys better, the 4091 is heads and tails about the stock 4000 IDE. that being said no one should compare a 2091 to the 4091. the 2091 is a horribly old slow zorro2 card that just barely supports luns and manages 2-2.5MB/s while the 4091 is a z3 bus master card that can see 10MB/s with the right drive.
