I'm looking for a graphics card to pop in my Amiga 3000. A Retina Z3 or GVP Spectrum would be perfect (I missed the last of the Softhut new GVP's by a few weeks)

Yeah, either of those cards would work as well. Although I have a feeling the PicassoIV will always be over my price range. There were a few CV64's on Amibay a month or so ago and I passed on them when I probably shouldn't have as they were, comparatively speaking, rather cheap.
The only ones I want to avoid are the Retina Z2 due to software compatibility and speed and the Merlin because I hear it's rather flaky. |

Hi, you may have looked on Ebay already, good luck with your search, sorry my Cybervision 64 is in use and not for sale.
01 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERLIN-Zor...item3376e217a9 02 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amiga-2000...item2571f7598b 03 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMIGA-OPAL...item4604bfa3f8 04 This is PCI http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMIGA-3DFX...item3377687064 PS Option 01 is the flakey Merlin & option 02 is the Retina card what you specified may not suit your needs but its on the Amiga hardware database with software and docs, have not checked the other cards. Yeah, I looked, unfortunately the Opalvision is not a true RTG card and is of limited use and the other one is a PCI card and requires a PCI bridgeboard to use. There is a GVP Spectrum on there but I'm not paying what he wants for it since the Softhut cards were $179 and were new. He stated that GVP may do another run depending on the availability of parts.

I've got some extras, either a Cybervision 64 (non-3D) or a Picasso II (I think it's a II+, but I'll have to check)
Neither has the passthrough cable, but they aren't that hard to find. It's just a monitor cable really. I'd need to get $150 after shipping and paypal fees if you're interested. |

It also have a Commodore 2630 @ 25 mhz w. fpu I am willing to split up. But prefer to sell all of it to the same person.

@chfriend: You should check out that Picasso IV, those are pretty awesome. I did reply to the PM though.
Hell, I'm interested in it myself. The flicker-fixer wouldn't be much use in an A3000, but it wouldn't hurt my 4000's at all.

The CV64 is perfect for the 3000, I have one in mine and it's awesome! The PIV scandoubler does produce a noticeably sharper picture than Amber in the 3000, only downside is it's nearly impossible to configure perfect scrolling PAL/NTSC modes for games, thanks to the cumbersome configuration software. Still, I would prefer a PIV in a 2000 or 4000, and a CV64 for the 3000.

I think I'm going to go with the CV64. The price is right and it's one of the best RTG cards available.

cv64 is the best card besides the PIcasso IV imho. As far as "pass through" on a3k you just need a standard 15pin male vga to 15pin male vga.
