Default Indivision ECS Dealer

It seems like AmigaKit doesn't have any of the Indivision ECS adapters, but they can (it looks like) be bought from www.vesalia.de for around $150 including shipping to the US. Is this a reputable dealer? I am considering one for my A2000 with rev. 6.3 motherboard. Any thoughts or suggestions on buying one from here? It says they recommend 2 mb chipram. My A2000 only has 1 mb, would it still work? If I did get one I would be using Paypal.

Thanks,
Jeff

I've only done one order from Vesalia but didn't have any concerns at all.

Haven't dealt with Vesalia in many years but they've always been reliable and very reasonable in the past. *thumbsup*

I always found Vesalia very good when I dealt with them in the past, although that was a long time ago. They must be one of the longest surviving Amiga dealers still in business.

Smile Re: Indivision ECS Dealer

i've ordered from Vesalia myself and not had any problems.

anyway, the only reason it's recommended to have 2Mb chip ram is so you can fit lots of nice hi res screens and lots of colours on your new VGA output device.

on an ECS chipset, i find its really a bit of a bind running in hi res, as it cripples chip ram access speed. so run a normal "medium res" screen on my A600 and A500, and my A500 switches between 0.5/1/1.5/2 Meg chip ram depending on what i'm doing to it, with no adverse effect on the Indivision.

so if you can, i'd got for it!

Wow, I wish I would have known that, as I went ahead and pulled the trigger and ordered one, since everyone had good reviews. I would much rather have supported someone on the forum. I actually sent an email a while back from the AmigaKit website, and never got a response. So I figured there was no info. I would have for sure got it from you, though.

Thanks,
Jeff

Thank you Jeff,

Not sure why the email did not come through (or we missed it).

Hope we can serve you again in the future though.

Have been looking at getting one of late too, have been looking at amigakit and vesalia. The price that gentle eye has listed is very attractive, but having never dealt with them and being on the other side of the planet not to sure if I want to take the plunge or not.

Anyone bought anything through them before, do they even take paypal?

(finger is hovering over the buy now paypal button LOL)

Well, mine ended up costing $127, at least that is what was charged to my Paypal account. This was shipping and all. I didn't think that was too bad at all.

Well, I must say that I have ordered some stuff from Gentle Eye here in Finland and had very good service. I don't know if they ship overseas, but they must be reliable people, who has stayed so long supporting Amigans in such a small country as ours. You may ask them.

$127? Wow, it's 127 USD without shipping but thats before they takeaway the 19% tax :-)

I'm always worried that they forget to do that LOL
