Default Indivision AGAMK2 Problems Help Sought!

Hi

I was lucky enough to snag one of the new Indivision AGA Mk2 boards.
Trouble is i cannot seem to get HDMI working through the TV or via my AV Unit.

Works fine with a DVI <> VGA adaptor into an old LCD monitor - but with DVI <> HDMI to my TV its a no-go!

Any ideas?

It works with HDMI with 1 of 3 of my monitors, still in beta so wait for config tools and firmware updates.

Ok ..

I only have the one TV with a HDMI and a VGA port - neither work.
I tried to connect the Indy to the HDMI of my AV receiver and that doesnt work
either. I guess for now ill have to use my old Phillips 170c LCD monitor.

Would it be a good idea to start a list of TV's that are not working with the Indy somewhere - that way once Jens starts to get the new firmwares and tools rolling out he would have something to aim for ?

One other thing - is it possible that the first time i used it (via VGA on the LCD monitor) it configured something internally that needs resetting before it can be used on a different monitor?

Cheers

N

As it stands now, probably won't work with 90% of the TVs out there.
Not sure all the ins & outs, but AFAIK it doesn't output any true "standard" resolution that a TV would accept. It just happens that the scan converted PAL, HighGFX, HD720 all work on a good portion of monitors out there.

Hmm sorry to hijack thread a little, but is it normal for a Widescreen LCD to not fill the whole screen? I dont mind if it doesnt but mine is off center to the right and my lcd you cant adjust it via lcd controls to center the image.. hmm I better switch to my old 4:3 LCD tonight if I can find my DVI <-> VGA adapter..

HDMI can be even more problematic than that. A friend of mine bought a media PC to sit under his TV which had on an board ATI graphics chip. It wouldn't work with the Toshiba tv in his living room at all. He eventually found a TV that it worked with but it was easier to put an nvidia card in there.

I have a problem with outputting sound to my Toshiba tv, which meant I had to keep going into the test sound option in windows for it to sync. Fortunately I found that forcing the driver to use one rate and resampling, rather than using the rate the app was using, meant I didn't have to do this.

So I don't know if Toshiba HDMI is really bad, it works fine for PS3 & Tivo but seems to have issues with PC's.

Well, bought some cheap HDMI cable about 4 years ago. It couldn't pass 1080p after all - just 1080i or 720p. Wasted money as I wanted 1080p from laptop into my HDTV.
