Hi All,
I installed the indivision in my 1200 yesterday. Worked fine for about 2 hours connected via DVI and I also tried VGA, then had to go out so I switched the Amiga off. Later I thought I would try a DVI - HDMI cable as I want to use my pc monitor for my 1200, while having the pc connected by DVI. The cable didn't work so I tried the DVI cable, still nothing. So I tried a different monitor, not working with that either. Have tested the machine through RGB on my CM8833 and it works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks |

I can only point out the obvious things... is it still seated properly or did it move slightly because of heating up and cooling down?
Other than that, maybe it's broken? There's no LED on it or anything to check it's working... |

It's still seated fine. Looks like it is broken.
Only trouble now is Amigakit's tech guy is off now until the 21St May.

Well in this case any company with good support would just directly replace the board. I'm sure there is surplus and they must have a deal with Individual for failures... so the tech guy being on holiday shouldnt factor in imho.
Of course, that is indeed if the board is faulty.

The seating meathod on these devices is similar to the accelerator I have in my 600. I had trouble initially with it even though it was seated right. So I removed the card and cleaned all the contacts on the cpu before reseating it. Maybe you could do the same with the chip that the indi sits on. Just use a bit of cleaning alcohol theb nake sure you seat theindi firmly after. It should make a lot of little clicks and creaks when seating.

Followed your advice and it now works again! Thanks! I feel like a idiot, should of thought of that. When it stopped working I just presumed the worst. |

It's also possible your 1200mb has a bad solder on the surface mount chip the Indivision fits on. That is more common with the A600 though.
