Amiga Marketplace This forum is here so that members can alert other members to Amiga items they've seen on eBay (or other auctions). If you are selling Amiga items on eBay, you might let us know about them here. Likewise, if you're selling Amiga items sans eBay, this is the "for sale" forum.

Default FS: Blizzard PPC 603e+

Hi all,

I'm selling my Blizzard PPC 603e+ (SCSI, 040@25 603e@160) with 32+16 MB of RAM. I'm testing the waters here, and I'll put it on eBay unless there's someone who's willing to buy it at a reasonable price already here. The only price indication I have is that a nearly identical card (with 64 MB of RAM and a new fan) sold for £490 last week.

As I recall, I bought my card in 1998 and used it for several years before I gradually stopped using my A1200T. When I took the computer out of storage last year I decided to use it mostly for gaming, and switched over to my old 1230 Mk IV, so the PPC card was left over. The card was still working fine when I tested it a few months ago, though it's time to change the battery and possibly the fan.

Included with the card is the cable that lets you have a SCSI connector at the back of the A1200, plus an adapter from the micro ribbon connector, via Centronics, to the large 50-pin ribbon connector found on internal SCSI devices.

It is! I've been too busy/lazy to put it on eBay or anything like that. I'll send you a message so we can sort out the details.

Do you want to sell it for a reasonable price or 490 quid? You can't do both....

Good luck! I wish I had enough spare cash to afford one of those.

You're probably right, considering how ridiculously inflated prices can be on eBay. Also, the card that sold for £490 had more RAM than mine and, as I recall, a brand new fan (not that there's anything wrong with the one on my card, but it's probably been running for 3-4 years in total and they don't last forever).

Since nobody's made an actual offer, I'll put the card up on eBay when I have time. Let potential buyers define 'reasonable'. Might go cheap, considering that now is probably a bad time to sell, but there's no point in me keeping something that I don't plan to use.
