i got a GVP HD-8+ Series II,HDD unknown 4mb ram ,oh and its heavy for postage, in the box aswell vertualy mint for age.
I test this every few months to make sure its ok, and leave it safley in its box in a cupboard, safe and sound .

you can also try http://www.amibay.com

Why external? i had a ICD internal IDE controller for my A500. Used it with a 3.5" quantum and i had it mounted internally. Worked well with WB 1.3.

Good luck in finding one of those!

I've been looking for quite a while to no avail.

The external solutions, while not readily available, are much more likely to pop up than the internal solution.

I've got a Comspec SA1000 SCSI Controller I no longer use. The External SCSI Tower Case would be too expensive to ship though.

It was made for the A1000 but also works on the A500. Comspec never put the A500 Model in Full Production, they were too expensive to manufacture and Commodore produced the A590.

I have one of those(the older one without ram), and a Vortex 286 board. My only remaining A500 stuff. They don't work together as I recall.

But you are right, good luck finding it, its in my storage unit and until I buy a home there is no chance of it turning up

I seem to remember someone making something similar to the ICD, but I can't remember the details at all other than it reminded me of the ICD. I was thinking the schematics were even out there somewhere.
