?! He's lying. You can't test a Blizzard 1230IV (or any Blizzard /Amiga card for that matter)
on a PC. He probably sold you a defect card.

bit the bullet bought aca1231 but will try fiiting a new crystal to get this working, if dont get working anyone know what sort of price I can get for untested/maybe repairable blizzard iv?

does any1 think i should get this board tested on another amiga 1200 before attempting to solder on new crystal?

tested with 4 mb simm no screen, 64mb simm no screen, 16 mb simm no screen

so I am thinking crystal, motherboard timing/expansion socket or card is dead?

That's a shame about the 16 Meg Simm not working. So that can definitely be ruled out then.
Personally, I wouldn't do anything until your ACA1231 arrives. If that doesn't work either then that points strongly towards your A1200 motherboard being defective in some way.

I would test it on another known working A1200 just to confirm the accel is indeed hosed.

I had similar probs with a Phase 5 PPC/040 card and all it amounted to was a bad SIMM.

now attempting to install os 3.9.

happy days.

So it was the Crystal as suggested - seems to be a "common" problem on old Blizzards

Yeah, those Blizzards's that never ever go wrong and are perfect in every way
