I am thinking about buying a couple amiga games on amibay,
but the seller does not know if they work on amiga 1200.
Can anyone tell me if they know ?
the games are
-knights of the sky
-double dragon
Will these games work on amiga 1200 with 030 -no fpu-

Most things can be made to work with Degrader. If that doesn't work there's of course WHDLoad.

yes and yes. just tried the wdhdload versions on my 1200. I have an 060, not an 030 though.

the double dragon seemed be pretty lame though. Perhaps the graphics are a little more crisp, but the sound is better on the NES version.

Most games will run. There's some limits. If you have a hard drive, WHDload is the way to go. Otherwise try degrader or relokick and most games can be persuaded to run.

I used to run Knights of the Sky quite a lot on my A1200, 030 with 32Mb of RAM. It worked great. That used to be my main games Amiga. I really miss it!

Best ways i have found for games compatibility:

A) WhdLoad: The best games hard drive loader - Requires Hard Drive + Fast Ram
B) Relokick 1.4: Reboots into Kick1.3 + disables cpu caches
C) Early Start-up menu & select Original Chipset and disable caches
