It all depends on hardware.
Magic is good if you can find the keyfile Frodo V4 is the most compatible but not very good if you don't have don't have hardware Personally I use Frodo V2 I find it runs at a good speed on an A1200 with 060 and 64mb. I have to run some patches though such as Fblit, Blazewcp and Speedychip |

http://aminet.net/search?query=Magic64 Keyfile may be a pain to find since the original developer has disappeared from the scene and his web site is down (ac-copy.com) but here is his contact info: Michael Kramer Im Hirschfeld 28 52222 Stolberg Germany Fax: +49 (0)2402 909115 E-mail: michael_kramer@ac-copy.com

Magic64 would be your best option. Impressievly fast for a c64 emulator. Just dont expect too much from it. C64 emulation is quite heavy vs. most other 8bit machine. On the 50mhz blizz mkiv '030 I had some years ago I had to set it to every 3rd frame, and it still rarely hit 100% speed (about 80% on average).
Even my 40mhz '040 I can only hit 100% with sound disabled on all but a few things. |
