Neither will play games for you. And you can't tell which one is better, because they are very different. One is a video effects card (Opalvision) including I believe a Genlock feature, while the Picasso is a graphics card. Your 4000 will benefit most from the Picasso, although only in WB friendly programs.

None of these card doesn't allow you to play whdload games.

Best solution for you would be LCD TV with scart connector. With LCD TV you would get flicker free hires modes 640 x512/400 PAL/NCTS and whdload games would work allso.

If you want to have true color 16/32 000 000 and / or 800x600 and above screens you need graphics card, BUT it would be supported only RTG enabled programs, like workbench, doom, napalm, wordworth, final writer etc.

Buy LCD TV, then you wouldn't need a flicker fixer.

Flicker fixer/scandoubler are needed if you wan't to use normal monitors, but as I said LCD TV would do same thing
