I'd say the drama queens who dummy-spit and loudly proclaim "I've had enough and I'm leaving!" visit the site anyway, just without logging in...

Sorry, why everybody is talking about leaving here? I've been a while out in EAB and I've found new members telling they were leaving here, and I find now a couple of threads here about people leaving too...

Sorry my newb question.

Retrofan, I think people are leaving because they're sick of the Commodore USA praise here, just as so many people were sick of it on AmigaWorld before (which was accompanied by people leaving that forum too). Thankfully EAB doesn't seem to have been affected yet, but then again that forum has other problems that prevent people from wanting to post there.

Expect this place to fall apart over the year as Commodore USA's products actually start coming out.

LOL, what praise? All I've seen is a pile of bitching and moaning about CUSA.

Cammy... Ok, I was thinking it was something only related to moderators... About the CUSA products I'm starting to think about their products again since a couple of days ago. It's a long thread to talk about it, and I agree that has nothing to be with a real C=64, but... right now I'm thinking about using a PC with a C=64 cover... well it perhaps it will be only for a couple of days... The thing is that I would like to be using a C=64 as the main computer....

Another thing is what they do to the name of Commodore and what they could have done.

I've seen both, but it seems to me the some of the C=USA haters are worse. (And, no, I'm not a C=USA fan...)

Id wager it isn't about CUSA specifically. Rather, the fact that it seems every thread lately turns into some sort of bitch fest.

Complaining about the moderation would be something new, as there basically is none

You'll find plenty of praise/free advertising for C=USA in these following links:

http://www.amiga.org/forums/search.php?do=finduser&u=8114
http://www.amiga.org/forums/search.php?do=finduser&u=1886
http://www.amiga.org/forums/search.php?do=finduser&u=817
http://www.amiga.org/forums/search.php?do=finduser&u=88

So Cammy, people should be banned for discussing a product someone else is not interested in? Free advertising. really? I guess some moderator should delete the Hyperion OpenGL news from earlier today. Really, it should be taken a step further and no discussion should be allowed since it is all free advertising.

I smell a business opportunity! Digital tumbleweeds! Someone code it in Amiga DE quick!
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

There's no need to get defensive, I was simply answering a query honestly. I haven't condemned anyone, I've simply observed what has taken place on Amiga forums over the past year and concluded what seems pretty obvious to a lot of us. Anything to do with Commodore USA stirs things up and causes people to argue, fight, leave the forum and ignore real Amiga-related threads.

The "free advertising" in my previous reply was in reference to this thread: http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57237

I was a little over the top... It rubs me funny when I read "free advertising" and I get flashbacks of all the ugliness of the past. Any discussion could be construed as free advertising. I remember the same thing said about Amithlon and MorphOS (among others) in years past.
