Default Cinemaware interview and briefly touching on the Amiga

A friend put me onto this guy (Matt Chat) and I found him quite entertaining so thought Id share it with y'all. He has some pretty good things to say about the Amiga himself, but Jim Sachs (if that's his name, I cant recall for sure) doesnt seem quite as enthusiastic. Nonetheless its a decent watch if anyone cares to have a look. This "episode" focuses on Cinemaware.

Bob Jacob, presumably. The founder of Cinemaware. I think it's not so much Amiga he isn't enthusiastic about, as it's Commodore's numerous bad decisions combined with rampant piracy that combined to help drive Cinemaware out of business.

This interview gives a pretty different feel. He cites them being late to move into the PC market combined with their deal with NEC (NEC bought 20% of Cinemaware when they needed cash, in order to get them to develop for TurboGrafx-16, while "everyone" else developed for Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo instead)

Jim Sachs is a developer / graphics artist. He did the graphics for Defender of the Crown, and did the CD32 version of Defender of the Crown (development and new graphics), as well as graphics for Ports of Call and a few other games.

Ah, thanks. I knew it sounded wrong (Jim Sachs) when I said it, but I was too lazy to go back and check

I'm a big fan of Matt Chat..
He's an old school gamer, RPG fan, AND an old Amiga user...
To quote a great American, "Duh, Winning!!" :-)

A lot of his reviews cover non-Amiga games/versions, but he'll mention games/versions he played on his Amiga..

He also has a few good books out as well..
(Dungeons and Desktops is a great book)
