I read that there is a missing signal on the Amiga 3000's processor slot. Could this be the problem? I pulled the Cyberstorm MK II 060 board out of a working Amiga 4000 Toaster system, it had a SCSI module plugged in. I removed it and put it back into its original box for safe keeping ( the A3000T already has SCSI ).
Did you install the proper 68040,68040 dummy, and 68060 libs correctly?

The A3000D/T were missing the INT2 interrupt line,i have never tried to run a CSMKII without the line,so i can't say for sure if that's your trouble. At a minimum, you need int2 to use the scsi.C= left this line off the A3000 cpu slot(dave haynie talks about it).
The 3000t jumpers are super picky and just 1 wrong jumper can cause a no boot situation,i urge you to review all of them before giving up.I have heard there are cases that the onboard 3000 scsi and the MKII scsi don't get along but this could of been termination issues.

Btw,Phase 5 made some pretty good stuff, they at least tried to push the envelope a bit.Of course some CSMKIII/PPC boards had 060 socket troubles.

The computer works fine with the original Commodore 040 board installed ( with the rare DMAC and Ramsey ). So, there is nothing wrong with the Amiga 3000T or those rare chips. What I need is for someone that has an Amiga 3000T-040 and the CS MKII 060 board installed to check the jumpers and list them here. Then I can set mine the same way and the computer should work just fine.

Otherwise, I will have to part everything out and sell the thing on feebay. I can get at least $200 just for the rare DMAC / Ramsey set. I could get at least $100 just for the front plastic cover that is in perfect condition ( extremely rare, most are broken or yellowed or both ). I could get at least $50 for the hard to find Kickstart 3.1 roms for the Amiga 3000, and at least $100 for the mint high-density Amiga 1.77 MB disk drive. The A3000T PSU would also fetch at least $100. The motherboard with no chips would fetch at least $100, and I could get quite a bit of money for the chips.

I do not screw around with Amiga computers that do not work. I never have problems like this with any of my Amiga 1000, 500, or 2000 machines. They work great. But, as soon as I try to "upgrade" an Amiga to work more like a modern computer, that is when I start to have all kinds of problems.

Sounds like your strengths are in selling Amigas and not working on them.

Go with what you know.

I had to do the int2 mod to make the Cyberstorm PPC work on my 3000T. It is a very easy mod that requires soldering a jumper wire between two pins. I am 100% sure these jumper setting are correct as I have tried them all with different processors.

You only have to do the int2 mod if you plan to use the SCSI module. I don't because the Amiga 3000T has SCSI built-in.

I am not saying that DMAC and Ramsey are faulty. It might be the case of CSMKII not playing along nicely with these chips. IIRC, Phase 5 never properly tested it with DMAC4/RAMSEY7 due to the fact that these chips have always been so rare. I think I remember this being discussed yeeears ago on usenet.

It's a theory at least. :-)

BTW, has the CSMKII been confirmed to work in another unit, i.e. A4000 for example?

CSMKII worked fine in my 3000T with the DMAC4/Ramsey7.

Ok, the 030 jumper settings worked. The Amiga 3000T boots up to the put Workbench 3.1 disk into drive screen, but, when I try to boot Workbench 3.1 the computer stops with an error and tries to reboot. I do not have the install disk for this 060 board.

Download the first archive on this page http://phase5.a1k.org/index.php?driverslibraries and unlha it to your Libs. That should be all you need.
