enough of this crap over at AW...honestly I'm tired of lawsuits and I like AROS and think any association with A Inc. is damaging their credibility

It's OK. This lawsuit in no way holds back Amiga progress IMO. The funniest thing I've read all week is the quote, "We are ecstatic to be partnering with Amiga Inc. ..."

With all the past history, a bow shot would be pointless.
If serious, it should be a full force frontal offence or go home. IMHO

Heh.... another chapter added to the seemingly endless and poorly written cheesy novel which is Amiga.

Hah!

Quote:
The first thing I noticed about the letter was the code section quoted: O.C.G.A., as in the Official Code of Georgia, Annotated. I noticed this because my full time job is in law enforcement in the state of Georgia, and I deal with various parts of the O.C.G.A. every week. I found this interesting because I had no idea Commodore USA was based in my state.

Well as it turns out, they aren't. They are based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida according to what I've found on their website and via Google.

So my question is, how is it possible for a company based in Florida to try to use a Georgia law against a website based in neither state?

At least "Groundhog Day" had a plot that you could follow...

No need to make popcorn for this overly dramatic movie... I'll be sleeping.

I think the movie that more closely describes the Amiga situation is "Titanic". Except that in Titanic there were survivors and the ending had a lot more suspense.
