Gotta love it how they claim they've tried to contact the author while cropping out the author's name and contact details.

That being said, there is NO excuse: Copyright is absolute. No amount of trying to contact the author makes it ok to steal their artwork.

The whole thing stinks and their business practices( if you want to call them that) are laughable.

I have never said this before, and its nothing to do with the commodore name as it hold no attachement to me, I hope this business fails so bad.

Here we go again. . .

It's not new for 2010, or 2009 or 2008 or 2007, etc.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

I read they got approval to call it a Commodore PC64. It packs a dual core Atom and Nvidia ION2.
It might be worth a look as a collectors piece, depends on price though.

Can no one take them to court. Seriously the site looked like a fraud from day one and I still can't understand from where did they get the license to use the Commodore name! Does anyone know how they are using the Commodore name (which I assume it's owned by someone) with no one planning to sue them?

The story goes that they put up the site with the Commodore name in the hopes that the property holder would contact them. Supposedly Commodore Licensing (who claims to hold the name) did contact them and they worked out a deal to use the name Commodore.

Since the use of the name "Commodore" is a trademark issue, and unlike copyright and patent, one must actually defend against unauthorized use, maybe this is an attempt to invalidate the trademark on the name Commodore.

Apologies I'm new to Amiga.org - I had searched commodore usa prior to posting but hadn't seen the other old post.

Shame, I read theregister article earlier and had considered them for a new themed PC. Glad I signed up here first - I guess el reg seems to be spot on about flying by the seat of their pants...

I didn't know big ben ausie (more like big ben bull shit) got named an officer of the company, thats pretty funny. He was on here defending them and now it looks like we all know why. What a deushbag.

This whole "company" is a joke. I heard they don't have any actual computers, if someone orders something from them, they order it, have it delivered to the guys house, then slap the fake commodore sticker on it and send it back out to the customer.

Really high class operation they have going there, complete with the website parts they stole directly from apple inc.

Jack asses.
