Default A4000 RevB or A4000 revD (was the cutdown version worse? Any known issues comparing them?)

So wich one is better?
Before someone starts typping I know the differences:
HERE

Generally more costy versions of computers were made with higher quality components. Was this true in this case?

Are there any known issues ?

Please not that there seemed to also be a RevD version with an 040. Must be rare.

The only downside to a Rev D 4000cr would be that the chip RAM is soldered to the motherboard, if it ever failed you'd have to desolder it and resolder new chips instead of simply swapping a new SIMM.

But other than that it is, in my opinion, the best 4000 motherboard.

I think this board is much better myself it also uses a lithium battery instead of the nicad that always leaks and wrecks your board .i have a cr board i bought as spares or repairs and the ram sockets are perfect on it.plus cpu is onboared with the cpu socket for upgrades.

A crappy fact about revision B motherboards is that they come with
weak simm slots. They are made of plastic, entirely. If you are not
careful when inserting/removing simms, you could easily damage a slot
by breaking off some plastic. Later revisions of A4000 motherboards I
think came with better slots, which looked something like what you
would find on most of the popular accelerator cards.

A steady hand could easily desolder the old crappy simm slots and
replace with the new (better) ones, according to my ex Amiga
technician friend, however I would not have the balls to venture
into something like that. :-)
