Desperately needs a life

I'm looking for a reliable, regular source of the plastic stand-off's which come with most A4000 CPU cards.
I've got an Apollo A4040 and a few A3640's which came without them. I think they are approximately 24.5mm tip-to-tip. All pictures of measurements of these things that I've found are all of the wrong bit (they are tip-to-tip instead of just the central spacer). But here are a few that I found. http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=872 ![]() ![]() I'm looking for somewhere like RS, Farnel, Maplin or some where like that where we can all get them from on a regular basis. |

Without knowing the length of the spacer, it's a little difficult to find the proper ones.

Knowing the diameter of the holes in the motherboard (and hence CPU cards) would also be good.
As soon as I get accurate information I'll share multiple sources. But having googled around I'm pretty sure I can find these puppies... lets see. Last edited by alexh; 08-03-2010 at 11:10 AM.. |

I've used some of these:
![]() http://www.reichelt.de/?ACTION=3;GRO...;ARTICLE=53722 Don't remember the exact dimensions but it was pretty neat. I just put my A3640 on, measured the space between the boards and went for it. If you want to secure heavier CPU cards you can insert a little piece of plastic or wood into the gap. Last edited by Zac67; 08-03-2010 at 01:56 PM.. |

Alex,
Its a bit of a pain but I change all my motherboard to solid metal standoffs, machines seem 100% stable when you bolt the accelerator down where it can't creep out of the socket over time.If you use metal standoffs note any traces close to holes and insulate. Also, check it with the card in place, some amiga's came with incorrect length spacers. i know this does not help your search for spacers but its worth doing imho.
