Hi, I just installed the Amiga edition of Aladdin4D onto my AmigaForever equipped laptop. During the install process, it asked for an ImageFX disk. In addition, whenever I run the program I am also asked for the ImageFX disk. I can click cancel and the program runs fine but still, it's a bit strange. What, if anything, have I done wrong?! What, if anything, should I do right?! Thanks, Pierre |

It should not have done this. Are you installing from the floppy disk or from the CD-ROM version?

does it have something to do with the Magic program??? IFX and Aladdin are the main programs that can transfer images between them using magic.

Maybe but it does not do that to me when I install it on Amiga Forever.

This has happened to me as well and I don't have Aladdin. I think its something that ImageFX does either in the user-startup or a library is installed/changed by ImageFX.

I had similar behaviour years ago after getting rid of some version of ImageFX. Finally I found the culprit - it was something left into ENVARC, probably some setting for jpeg smoothing or similar. But it took some time to check user-startup etc. first.
