Well, I regret not buying one of these when there were many for sale a day on ebay. I've been looking for one lately but it seems they are not being listed anymore, I wonder if they are all sold... does anyone know anything?
Cheers, Dragster

Really? I swear I've seen 'em by China Dewalt and a couple others within the past week or two. I've been monitoring 'em myself. Didn't seem like they were really moving. I bet there's a TON of unsold stock left guys, I wouldn't worry about it. They hovered at $50 for the system and $50 for shipping at once place. $100-$115 shipped at the other.
I'll buy one when they're closer to $50-$60 shipped

I've been monitoring them for years, and there have not been any for sale for a couple of months now! I'm also kicking myself for not getting one or two when they were available. One rumour is that Sony bought them all up because for some reason they need hundreds of them to test their new universal controller? I don't really buy that, but it IS as if all of them were bought up at once, several sellers stopped selling them at the same time, and they had multiple units available previously.
I hope some profiteering individual hasn't gone and bought them up so they can resell them back to us at a higher price, although if they've been converted to PAL and don't cost too much more maybe it could be a service to the community.

Huh!
I hadn't been watching Amiga items much for the last few months but searching reveals a dearth of CD32 consoles after years of their presence.Really it is too bad the well has run dry. Let's trot out the conspiracy theories: The makers of Aeon1000 needed CD32s for special parts contained therin OR wanted to remove the only genuine Amiga items still available! The Chinese government shutdown production/confiscated/destroyed the CD32s in an anti-piracy move at the request of the U.S./Sony/Nintendo/unknown holder of obscure patent. The stock was destroyed in a fire/building collapse/sent to landfill to make room for more valuable items. The remaining stock was all finally sold.....nah,that COULDN'T be the reason. |

Either way pretty wierd. A computer no one cares about.... yet a previously unknown stash shows up on ebay and sells out.
How many more unkown stashes are out there... This would make a cool Canadian produced low budget scifi series... Two dorks set out on a quest to find every last stash of Amigas. Along the way they meet Doomy their arch enemy, and other crazy hoarders.. |

![]() I resisted for years to buy the NTSC CD32 that were on ebay, they seemed like like it would be around forever. maybe it's better this way, the temptation to try and find an SX32 Pro would be impossible. Does the CD32 emulator that comes with the SCSI Squirrel package work well? I have one with a SCSI CD-ROM, but haven't tried any CD32 game syet.

The only CD32 game I couldn't get to run with the Squirrel was Microcosm. All the others seemed to work fine.

by the time I was able to get a hold of a CD32 in the US, the Sega Saturn and the Playstation 1 were already in full force.
After seeing games like Tekken & Virtual Fighter, I was hooked on the power of these new systems and the CD32 seemed quite dated in 1995. Even games like Super Star Dust seemed dated compared to some of the fantastic new Sega titles. Are there any 'must have' games for the CD32 that are worth checking out to rekindle my interest in getting one?

I got a new, unopened one (Critical Zone Pack) from a private UK seller. When I got it for 60 pounds and 15 pounds postage, I thought "unused? yeah right, but true to the seller's word, he was right, the plastic packing cover over the CD32 badge and CD tray were still on there, games, PSU and controller were all still wrapped. Who would buy a console and never use it?!?! Interestingly, he had other machines (non Commodore) that were unopened but they didn't interest me. In the past month, I have built my CD32 games collection to over 30 titles, and still more coming in!

Yeah, that was a Critical Time for CBM. If only the American Tax Man didn't shaft them.
