Oh yeah, and we should clear this up for sure.
2-button Sega Master System, 3-button and 6-button Sega MegaDrive/Genesis pads all work on Amigas for any game that supports controllers with one or two buttons. If you try to use a Sega pad in a game that needs a CD32 pad, button 1/B will act as the Red button, but button 2/C activates every button on the CD32 pad at once, including the Play/Pause button, which often causes the game to pause every time you press button 2/C.
You don't need to modify a Sega pad for it to work perfectly with all 1 and 2 button games. You can't modify them to act as CD32 pads unfortunately, but if you're handy with a soldering iron you can add a modification to make the A button on a MegaDrive/Genesis pad act as the UP direction. This makes them incredibly handy for playing platform games that use UP to jump, and racing games that use UP to accelerate.
