Default HDToolBox and WinUAE

Hi,

I am loading Workbench 3.1 from a directory on Windows. I have changed the SCSI_DEVICE_NAME of HDToolBox equal to uaehf.device. Additionally I start WinUAE with the parameter -disableharddrivesafetycheck. With a CF card I have no problem but with a directory HDToolBox does not recogonise any drive and all options are disabled.

Regards,
Sim085

You should use the "add directory" button instead of "add harddrive".
Then Winuae immediatediatly recognises it as an amiga harddrive.
There's no need to mess with HDToolbox.

I did use the add directory option. The reason I need HDToolBox is because I want to update the FastFileSystem file in the RDB.

If you add a windows directory, it doesn't have a RDB.
Only real amiga drives have a RDB.

So not even a Hardfile would have an RDB? Only real hardware? If so then it is impossible to update the FastFileSystem right!

A hardfile can have an RDB if you click on "Enable RDB mode".

Ok, I'll copy my setup to a hardfile and continue from there. Thank you
