NEW Amiga magazines ?!@ Get them here, find out how!
« on: September 29, 2009, 05:57:49 PM »
Hey everyone. Remember back when we were younger and you could walk into a newsagency and find many different Amiga magazines to choose from? Do you miss those days when you could read an Amiga magazine on the bus or at school, finding out about all the latest news, game reviews and hardware expansions? Well, fear not, as the world is not completely devoid of Amiga publications.

In this thread I'd like to list every magazine currently being published or worked on that includes Amiga content, as well as link to places where you can download new issues or purchase older issues of magazines now out of print. I don't know them all right now, but I'll list as many as I can think of, and if anyone knows of a magazine I can add to the list, please let us know here and I'll update this first post.

I will separate the list into two sections; Print magazines and downloadable/printable magazines. You can still find some print magazines in newsagencies around the world, and there are many others that can be easily obtained by subscribing online. I'll also list the languages the magazines are available in. Some magazines are Amiga specific, while others are general computer/games magazines with regular Amiga sections and articles in them.

So, here's the list!

I just ordered and received from Amigakit issues 79 and 80 of Amiga Future in english. Each issue came with a cover CD which I haven't had the time to check out yet but I have checked out the articles. They are well done and informative and I must say that actually holding a current printed Amiga publication in my hands after all this time is quite a thrill.

Hi Cammy, please don't forget NewsTek. It has 10% Amiga coverage to try and grow the market outside the Amiga community. The digital issue currently on sale is only .99 cents with a new issue right around the corner.

They still do. I read it every week, it's awesome. Cammy even got a mention in it with her games thread.

Thanks guys, I can't believe I forgot some of those! I was very tired at nearly 3am, having stayed up all night and doing a five-hour long workout through the day, my brain just wasn't up to remembering all those magazines, sorry for missing out on some.

Keep them coming everyone, I'm sure there are more magazines with Amiga content online or in print somewhere in the world. :)

You're welcome, Domi73 :)

I have just added a few more downloadable magazines to the list. Some of them can be printed out on a standard printer or at any printing place, and one of them can be burned to a CD!
