I have a Sandisk 8 GB Ultra II in my Amiga 1200 with a Blizzard 1260.
The following partitions were made: Workbench : 303 MB WB31 : 26 MB Games: 3.7 GB Work : 3.9 GB When I use Workbench 3.1, I see my Work partition. In OS 3.9 it doesn't show the content. I already use the setup skipromupdates "scsi.device" and Boing bag 2a. |

Hiya,
Why do you have a partition for WB31? Anyway, that's a strange problem...if anything I would expect the reverse (eg works in 3.9 and not in 3.1). I take it you're using an IDE to CF adapter? Do you also have any SCSI devices? |

FFS partitions above the 4GB line need to be activated by NSDPatch (incorporated into SetPatch for 3.5+). Weird that it's working under 3.1.
Try not skipping the updated scsi.device. Also, one of the BoingBags installs a newer NSD config file, but not as the default. Make that change. |

@amiga1260:
Your problem is in 3.1, not in 3.9. 3.9 does it correctly. Your 3.1 setup is very dangerous, you will loose all data sooner or later because your partitions share the same storage. The Work partition will destroy all the other partitions when it fills up and vice versa. Please run Check4GB from Aminet. Run it once on 3.1 and once on 3.9 and post both outputs here. To repair your issues, you should copy all data from the work partition to one of the other partitions, then run OS 3.9 (remove the skipromupdate first !), make sure that FFS V43 is installed in the RDB, format the Work partition and copy the data back. With FFS V44 (a.k.a. FFSTD64) you don't need to do anything else, with FFS V43 (old beta version) or V45 (comes with OS 3.9) you need to install NSDPatch to the 3.1 partition. Or better extract scsi.device from the OS 3.9 ROM update and activate it with LoadModule. NSDPatch is crap. |

I thought about it. I deleted the wb 3.1 and made a big Work parition of 7.5 GB.

That doesn't fix the 4Gb barrier problem that Thomas talked about!

I removed the skipromupdate from the Setpatch.
After that I installed FFS v43 on the RDB and use HDToolbox of OS3.9 to create the 7.5 GB partition. finally a format the partition and copy the data back. |
