Heh. Genesi and Acube should have worked out something to get MorphOS out for this motherboard.

Sometimes I also wonder if Acube really wants to sell or not? If I was them, I would have talked with Genesi.

Its so bad that this is just another PPC motherboard that wont sell because no os which is great will work on it.
I love and respect people which care! And not those with
a heart made of stone.

Actually, Mos on this board would have been cool too. I wonder who would buy one of these without OS4/MorhOS?

This is a cool board by what appears to be a solid, reputable company. Shame no Amiga compatible OS is available  :-(

OS4 or MorphOS, I don't care. The community needs something! Heck, gimme AROS-PPC with WUP/PUP emulation!

I wish I could keep track of the "whole situation". If this is the announced AI approved hardware from ACube, and

then does that mean that I missed hearing that somewhere, somehow, the finally available hardwareless OS4 is now again not available just in time for the available hardware? Or am I off the mark and OS4 was for the classic hardware only? Cheese and beans, my head is exploding!  :pissed:

OS 4 is Classic only. I had a CSPPC for 7 years I sold in 2005... since OS4 was never released to run on Classic Hardware... Figured there would have been *SOMEKIND* of hardware released to run it in the future.

In 1998 if you told me that 10 years later  I'd be running Amiga games on a home made Amiga 500 and still not have a PCC Ami I'd say you're bonkers...

If nothing runs on PPC, then why are people so eager to get PPC hardware?

Actually AROS runs on Sam440EP thanks to the efforts of Michal Schulz:

http://home.tu-clausthal.de/~mis/aros-sam440-ppc.iso.7z

Mind the fact that adapt AROS from SAM440EP to SAM440 Flex it is a matter of just a little work...

Screenshots of Aros running on SAM440EP here:

Images are a bit small, but author promised he will replace it with bigger ones...

Congratulations to ACube Systems for announcing yet another hardware solution.

However, I am not interested in running a PPC Linux system.

I agree with all of you guys, it's another bunch of useless hardware if it doesn't support any advanced specifical OS, and the excuse "but you can run linux!!" is an stupidity. They should had be able to reach an agreement with genesi before doing THIS.

If i would like to run linux in a 600mhz machine i would use a virtual machine on my pc, and it even would be four times faster than this even using just one of the 4 cores i got.  TOO BAD ACXube!!!

That's why i quit from having an Amiga computer, and i only keep my old CD32. When will those guys learn and join efforts in the same direction?
