Michael C. Battilana of Cloanto was interviewed by retrogamingradio.com on the subjects of Amiga Forever 6 CD and "Nostalgia; what it is, and why it's a dying form".
The interview (which begins at 1 hour, 36 minutes, 57 seconds into the MP3 show file) was produced during Classic Gaming Expo by Shane R. Monroe and the late Bryan "Kidhype" Smith. It covers the origins of Amiga emulation, the motivations behind Amiga Forever, as well as possible future scenarios, including features planned for the next versions of Amiga Forever. The Amiga Forever show contest received an impressive number of entries. 14 participants gave 100% correct entries. Although it had originally been announced that of all successful entries only three would have been chosen at random to win a full Amiga Forever 6 CD, I hereby have the pleasure of announcing that all 14 correct submissions will receive the CD. http://www.retrogamingradio.com or link directly to the mp3 at http://www.retrogamingradio.com/theshow/listen.php?filename=rgr0305.mp3 Other news in brief (more to follow on these topics): - We are organizing Codex Alpe Adria 2005 (July 2nd, 2005)http://0xAA.org - We started manufacturing new Boing decals http://www.amigaforever.com/gfx/oem/af_boing_v2.jpg - RSS Feed http://www.amigaforever.com/rss.xml |

I dunno about this guy. Half-Life only has a small nitch market because when it came out it relied on graphics, as opposed to innovative game play?
I always thought the graphics were sub par, I mean after all we did have Unreal at that time. As for the game play, well I still play Half-Life ALL THE TIME, as do MANY Other people. Infact it can still be found on store shelves everywhere, and has had not one, but two face lifts since its release. The game has a HUGE following, created MANY innovations that were not in games prior, like for instance being the first FPS that makes you almost feel like you are in a movie, that and the fact that it was HUGE, and realistic. http://www.planethalflife.com/ Bad choice for an example. I've yet to get to the interview yet. This MP3 is long, and... ...long winded.
