While i think it is great to see games ported to MorphOS but why really old games?

You need a KILLER game for 2003 instead of a old 90`s game.

Paul, you are *absolutely* right! We think the way to go is online-mass-multiplayer-games and that is where we are headed! :-D

Thanks greenboy for the "approval" -- we appreciate it!

P.S. Thanks Kronos for the support. Please check your email forwarded from kronos@amiga.org. You have just become a game tester...let us know what you think!
That looks like a payoff Kronos ;-) If you have to get the
package from a deserted carpark with lots of mexicans with
hand-cannons around, run!

What I do find sad is that they don't seem to be making anything for the Amiga (WOS or potentially OS4)
Wrong, I just bought Software Tycoon (made by Epic) and it is both for Amigas with 68k and PPC (it has also a Pegasos+MorphOS version)

Can I just say that I have nothing against MOS or the PEG, in fact if I could afford both systems I would get both, hell I may even get a PEG to run MOS on and use my BlizzPPC for OS4 (after I get back from Oz!).

I happen to prefure the idea of OS4 over MOS, but having played with MOS at WoASE it is a nice system (even if it did crash when I tried to resize a window ;-)). The main reason is because I can understand how OS4 will work (as I understand how AOS works in general), but I am sooo confused by all this A-BOX and Q-BOX with MOS that I steer away from it. Plus I can't use it on my BlizzPPC (that is a hint there ;-) hehe)

Maybe you mixed OS4 and MOS here?

MorphOS runs without problems on BlizzPPC (since the very first public version).

@zacman

Nicholas and BillB have been very clear on this that
MorphOS as shipped with the Pegasos is not currently
available for the Blizzard or the Cyberstorm because
of the support issues involved.

It might *run* but as no-one can get a shrink-wrapped version
of MOS for the BPPC/CPPC cards he is absolutely correct.

Sure but that doesn't mean that it won't be available
later. The only difference between the
BlizzPPC/CybPPC version and the Pegasos MorphOS
version is that the Pegasos version is a public beta
while the CybPPC/BlizzPPC beta is an internal beta.

Oh, how old is the original PC version of this game BTW ? I don't think it's that important to have "state of the art 3d engines" but at least amiga/MOS specific games, good in their style... (like Crossfire 2 released recently)...

I'll buy Knights&Merchants as soon as possible.

I really don't like those online games (mostly dumb), but
mass-multiplay like TalesOfTamar rules.

@DaveP
I haven't tested it yet, but looking at the title it will
probaraly not excite me like something similar does another
Bill ...... ;-)

So, what should Amiga programmer do? Just wait for AmigaOS4 to be released (or at least some development material for it) doing NOTHING? C'mon...

I'm not 100% sure about this, but Weren't Epic working simultaneously on Macintosh & Amiga version of that particular game, at the same time developing SDL-like a system, that allows game to be compiled either for Macintosh or MorphOS with very minor modifications to source code?

So, if it was that easy, why shouldn't it have been done?

And should AOS4 ever become ready, it shouldn't be that hard to "adapt" that system for it aswell, and (maybe) be able to compile all games ported that far to AOS4 aswell...
