Default DENEB - boot problems

Hi fellow amigans!

I have an annoying problem but i hope that someone can help me:

I have a DENEB card which is an EXCELLENT piece of hardware however i have some small issues:

- if i put in a memory stick in a running system, it can be used without any problem but if i reboot or if i turn on the Amiga with a memory stick in the Deneb it does not recognize it

- the second - somewhat related - issue is if i make Amiga partitions on the memory stick i unable to boot from it maybe because of my system doesn't recognizes it at boottime (prev issue).

Did any of you face similar problem?

My system is: A4k, Cyberstorm Mk2 with 68060 and with OS3.9-BB2

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have the necessary file system in the RDB of the partitioned drive. Also, there is an issue regarding some turbo boards wrongly enabling caching for Zorro spaces during startup until SetPatch, which causes the driver to malfunction. The next release will contain a small romtag to disable caches during early boot stage to avoid the problem.

I had the same problem, and for me the solution was to change the startup delay of the memory stick in trident prefs from 0 to 500.
A guy over at EAB also had similiar problems, and changing the startup delay has helped him too. See here.

Edit: If you are going to try this, don't forget to reflash the deneb flashrom after you changed and saved your settings in trident, or else there will be an old version of psdstackloader in the deneb flashrom.

Thanks! It solved my problem as well. I set it to 2000 ms and finally the memory stick appears in the boot menu. I'll check later if a smaller delay is OK. Thanks for the help!
